There are a ton of things to do including great shops, bars, tours, and cemeteries to explore as well as a plethora of events and Cons throughout the year.
And Richmond is Edgar Allan Poe’s favorite city.

Hollywood Cemetery
One of the most beautiful cemeteries in the nation! It’s a 135-acre arboretum containing 2 American Presidents, miles of amazing crypts and tombs, a Vampire legend as well as a memorial for Dave Brokie from GWAR. Keep your eyes open as you may see some wildlife including deer as well as a commanding view of the James River.
Edgar Allan Poe Museum
A Must for every Goth is a stop at the Poe Museum!
The ‘OG’ original goth loved Richmond more than anywhere else.
Stop by and pay homage to the man, myth, and legend, while you’re there, say hello to Edgar the cat!
